AI Affairs is an independent news publication covering artificial intelligence as a business, a policy question and a market. We report on the organisations that build these systems, the organisations that buy them and the institutions that write the rules they operate under.

The newsroom was founded in 2026 by reporters who had spent years covering enterprise technology, financial markets and public administration. We start from the assumption that readers want to know what happened, what it cost and who is accountable for it, in that order.

What we cover

Corporate follows the companies building and selling AI systems and the enterprises deploying them: vendor selection, contract terms, staffing, restructuring and the deployments that get quietly withdrawn.

Government covers procurement rules, statutory audits, public sector deployments and the supervisory bodies that oversee them. We follow implementation rather than announcements.

Markets covers listed suppliers, private funding, secondary trading and the debt financing behind data centre construction. We publish the numbers and their sources.

Technology covers model releases, evaluation methods, licensing terms and the engineering work that decides whether a deployment survives its first year.

Opinion carries argued columns from named writers. Opinion pieces are labelled on the article page, in the section strip on the home page and in the page metadata, so they are never mistaken for reporting.

How we work

Every article carries a byline, a publication timestamp and, where the piece has been amended, an update timestamp. Our sourcing, verification and corrections practices are set out in full on the Editorial standards page.

We do not accept payment for coverage. Advertising is sold through a third party and is marked as advertising wherever it appears. No advertiser sees an article before publication.
