Elisa said on 23 September 2026 in its announcement that it and Kempower had signed an agreement for AI-powered IT services covering employee support, devices and Microsoft 365 as the electric vehicle charging manufacturer expands globally.

Key points

  • Elisa says the agreement puts end-user support, device provision and professional IT services under one partner.
  • The company aims to use AI-assisted automation and self-service tools to resolve employee support requests.
  • Elisa says its Device-as-a-Service model will give Kempower monthly device costs and capacity it can adjust as needed.

Elisa takes on Kempower employee services

Elisa says its package combines end-user support, Device-as-a-Service and professional services for Microsoft 365 and device management. It describes the arrangement as a single-partner model, with Elisa responsible for delivering the services while working with Kempower on their continuing development.

The agreement concerns the IT environment used by Kempower employees. Elisa says support, devices and professional services need to work across the markets in which Kempower operates and expand with the business. The company plans to bring those functions together in its service delivery rather than treat AI support as a separate offering.

Tuomas Siivonen, End User Services Manager at Kempower Corporation, said the company needs a partner able to support its employees globally as it grows. He said Elisa’s AI-based service capability would help staff in their daily work and allow Kempower to concentrate more on customers.

Kempower designs and manufactures DC fast-charging equipment for electric vehicles. Its product development and production are based in Finland and the United States, and its shares are listed on Nasdaq Helsinki, according to a Kempower company profile carried by FCW.

Elisa targets ticketless Kempower support

Elisa says it aims for a “ticketless IT service” in which AI-assisted automation and self-service help resolve employees’ requests. That is a stated aim for the service, rather than a result Elisa reports Kempower has already achieved. The company also says it intends to make user support more proactive and efficient.

The proposed use of AI sits within the wider support agreement. Employees seeking help would have access to self-service assistance, while automation would be used to handle requests, according to Elisa. The company says its experience putting AI solutions into production will also support work with Kempower as the services develop.

Noora Lainio, Elisa’s Vice President of IT-Services, said the collaboration combines a global operating model with the company’s ability to put AI solutions to practical use. She said Elisa expects automation and its service operations to improve the employee experience and the efficiency of support.

Kempower devices move to monthly provision

Under the Device-as-a-Service part of the package, Elisa says it will provision equipment for Kempower employees. The model is intended to give Kempower predictable monthly device costs and allow it to adjust capacity to its business needs. That makes device provision part of the same relationship as employee support and professional services.

Elisa also plans to provide professional services covering device management and Microsoft 365. The company says its combination of local presence and global delivery is designed to give Kempower employees a consistent service across countries. Siivonen said supporting staff globally is a requirement of Kempower’s growth.

Elisa says it will develop the services with Kempower as the manufacturer’s needs change. For devices, its stated approach is to provision them through Device-as-a-Service, with Kempower paying monthly costs and adjusting capacity according to business needs.
