HCL Technologies has won a contract from M Group, the leading essential infrastructure services provider in the United Kingdom and Ireland, to modernise IT operations across more than 200 locations using its proprietary AI Force service transformation platform, CXOtoday reported on 22 September.

HCLTech reported consolidated net profit of ₹4,624 crore in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, up 20.30% year on year, and consolidated revenue of ₹34,579 crore, up 13.94% year on year, Sahi reported. On 13 July 2026, HCLTech authorised a strategic investment of up to ₹3,500 crore to establish wholly owned AI data centres in India. On 16 July 2026, the company entered a seven-year strategic agreement with Guardian Life Insurance to expand AI-driven technology modernisation and acquired its India global capability centre operations for $10.5 million, Sahi added.
Competitive positioning in UK and European market
Sahi stated the deal should reinforce HCLTech’s standing in the UK and European IT services market, which remains intensely competitive. Large, multi-site infrastructure transformation deals provide stable, long-term revenue visibility.
