Nscale, an AI cloud computing firm, and Anthropic are discussing a possible agreement for Anthropic to buy Nscale’s computing capacity, potentially worth about $45 billion, Reuters reported on 19 October. Reuters cited Bloomberg News, which attributed the account to people familiar with the negotiations.

Microsoft withdrew from a data centre agreement with Nscale in Essex, UK, ahead of the company’s planned IPO, AI Affairs previously reported.

Investors have also pushed back on Nscale’s $30 billion IPO valuation, according to earlier AI Affairs reporting.
