SAP described its Physical AI capabilities in an article published on 27 October about TechEd 2026, saying they connect enterprise workflows to robots and other machines, extending its Autonomous Enterprise vision into physical operations.

The capabilities run on SAP Business AI Platform, while physical data enters SAP Business Data Cloud. SAP says customers can choose their devices and AI models, with partners providing the physical execution.

Intel’s Chengdu site in China hosted a proof of concept in which SAP warehouse tasks became robot missions using Intel’s edge AI technology, SAP said. Holcim has implemented drone- and quadruped-based asset inspections since attending the Embodied AI Jam held in August 2026, according to SAP.
