Anthropic is offering Blackstone a yield of more than 10% to finance a chip deal, the Financial Times reported on 16 October in a Reuters dispatch.
Blackstone funds would invest $9 billion in debt backed by Anthropic’s five-year lease payments on the chips, according to the Financial Times report.
A previous $35 billion private-credit package involving Apollo and Blackstone for TPU leases carried senior yields of about 5.75% and junior yields of about 8.5%, Global Banking & Finance Review said. AI Affairs previously reported that Blackstone and banks gathered $60 billion for Broadcom AI chip financing. It also reported that Broadcom agreed to lend Anthropic up to $42 billion for chip infrastructure.
Reuters said it could not immediately verify the Financial Times report.
