CtrlS announced plans on 13 October 2026 to invest 100 billion rupees ($1.05 billion) in a 150-megawatt hyperscale AI factory in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, Reuters reported.
The company says the facility will serve government institutions, businesses and hyperscalers in Bihar and elsewhere in eastern India. CtrlS said it previously invested 4 billion rupees in a data centre in Patna, also in Bihar. That facility currently has 12 megawatts of capacity and could expand in line with future demand.
CtrlS operates 19 data centres in India. Its chief executive, Sridhar Pinnapureddy, said in a statement that the company plans to establish more than 20 edge data centres in smaller Indian cities over the coming years.
IT services company HCLTech and engineering and construction group L&T have also committed to data centre investments in India in 2026.
