Bloomberg reported on 30 October that CXMT Corp’s revenue reached 118.7 billion yuan ($17.8 billion) in the three months ended September, up 613% from a year earlier. The Chinese supplier of conventional memory chips increased revenue by 19.3% from the June quarter, a slower pace than its growth in the preceding quarter.
Bloomberg put net income at 54.4 billion yuan, largely unchanged from the second quarter. CXMT had moved from a loss to a profit after expanding production capacity. In a forecast announced on 17 October, CXMT had projected third-quarter net profit of 5.34 billion to 5.49 billion yuan, Chosun reported. The company attributed its expected improvement to higher DRAM prices driven by AI demand, increased capacity and greater use of its production lines.
CXMT plans to release server DRAM using a 4F² structure, which reduces the area of each memory cell, by the end of 2026, Chosun reported.
