Megaport signs A$978.6 million in AI deals and lifts 2027 forecasts

The three contracts are expected to bring in about A$232.4 million in annual recurring revenue. Megaport also raised its forecast EBITDA margin range.

Australian IT firm Megaport signed three AI infrastructure contracts worth a combined A$978.6 million ($686.78 million) and raised its 2027 forecasts on 29 September, following A$458.9 million in similar deals in early June, Reuters reported.

The new agreements cover GPU and CPU computing capacity, networking and storage for AI applications and inference workloads. Megaport expects them to generate about A$232.4 million in annual recurring revenue. The customers were unnamed in the report.

Megaport now forecasts full-year group revenue of A$720 million to A$810 million, against its previous range of A$620 million to A$730 million. It raised its forecast EBITDA margin to 42 per cent to 44 per cent from 38 per cent to 40 per cent. The earlier A$458.9 million of AI infrastructure business comprised four contracts secured in early June.

Megaport shares rose as much as 20.5 per cent on 29 September, reaching their highest level since mid-August. The benchmark index was down 0.1 per cent.
