Bloomberg reported on 15 October that Nscale’s flagship Norwegian data centre was six months behind schedule, with 6.4 megawatts operating out of a planned 30 megawatts, complicating its $35 billion IPO plans.

Bloomberg places the facility in Glomfjord. Citing people close to the project and public records, it reported cooling-system leaks, local regulations, construction delays and a fire. A floating hotel with approximately 220 bedrooms was awaiting construction workers in early October.

Startup Fortune places the facility in Narvik. It reported that Nscale filed to list on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker NSCL, targeting a valuation of roughly $35 billion. AI Affairs previously reported a $3.36 billion convertible financing led by Third Point.

For the six months ended 30 June, Nscale’s revenue was $140.6 million, against $10.4 million a year earlier, Startup Fortune reported. Its net loss was $1.02 billion, against $369 million in the comparable period.
