Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang said in Paris on 13 October that the company expects to unveil $2 billion in European AI deals within a week, on top of $8 billion deployed over the past year, Quartz reported. Nvidia’s announcement names Doctolib, Entalpic, Genesis AI and Pigment as planned investments in France.
Key points
- Huang expects Nvidia to announce $2 billion in European deals within a week of the Paris event.
- Nvidia has named four French startups for planned investments and says its commitments across Europe total nearly $10 billion.
- Doctolib agreed to sell Nvidia a minority stake, while Genesis AI confirmed Nvidia as a strategic investor, Yahoo Finance reported.
- A secondary share sale valued Doctolib at €3.6 billion earlier in 2026, against €5.8 billion at its 2022 equity raise, according to Bloomberg.
Four French startups enter Nvidia’s investment plans
Doctolib agreed to sell Nvidia a minority stake to support development of AI tools, Yahoo Finance reported. Genesis AI confirmed Nvidia as a strategic investor, according to the publication. It reported that neither company disclosed an investment amount.
The four businesses serve different markets. Doctolib provides healthcare software, Genesis AI develops robotics technology, Pigment makes business-planning software and Entalpic works on materials discovery. Nvidia describes the stakes as planned investments. TechFundingNews reported that Nvidia plans minority stakes in all four.
Doctolib says its services are used by 100 million patients and 580,000 health professionals, TechFundingNews reported. The company says Nvidia’s investment will support AI hiring and give it access to Nvidia specialists for training models in Europe, according to the publication. Doctolib has used Nvidia technology for a year, it reported.
Genesis AI made its public debut in July 2025, raising $105 million in seed financing jointly led by Khosla Ventures and Eclipse Ventures, TechFundingNews reported. Pigment raised a $145 million Series D in April 2024, while Entalpic raised an €8.5 million seed round in September 2024, according to the publication. Nvidia says Pigment’s platform covers planning across finance, sales, staffing and operations, while Entalpic works on materials with applications in semiconductor manufacturing and electronics.
Doctolib’s €3.6 billion secondary valuation
A secondary share sale earlier in 2026 valued Doctolib at €3.6 billion, compared with €5.8 billion when it raised equity in 2022, according to Bloomberg. The new transaction is a minority investment rather than a purchase of the company.
Huang advocated open-source models as a way for European developers to narrow the technological gap with their US counterparts, Quartz reported. Nvidia is also a partner to French AI company Mistral AI, whose latest model was trained on 4,000 Grace Blackwell chips, according to Quartz.
Nvidia says it has committed nearly $10 billion across Europe’s technology ecosystem. Its French investments follow compute commitments associated with the AI Action Summit in February 2025 and the Choose France summits in 2025 and 2026, according to the company.
Nvidia’s investment book and French infrastructure
Nvidia’s long-term investments reached $51.16 billion at the end of July 2026, against $3.80 billion a year earlier, according to TIKR data reported by Yahoo Finance. That increase includes changes in the value of existing holdings as well as new investment. The publication put Nvidia’s free cash flow over its last four reported quarters at about $127 billion.
Nvidia’s French activity also extends beyond equity stakes. The company says LINAGORA and Docaposte secured a CANUT framework agreement under which Twake.ai, built on Nvidia’s Nemotron models, is the sole referenced sovereign digital workplace for more than 2,500 French public organisations.
In another production arrangement, Bull plans to extend European AI server manufacturing to Nvidia Vera Rubin Ultra NVL72 systems in 2028, with trays made in Europe and racks integrated at its Angers factory, Nvidia said.
