OpenAI President Greg Brockman said enterprises now account for most of the company’s revenue and he believes it will be ready for an IPO in 2027, Reuters reported on 5 November. Brockman spoke on 4 November at a Wall Street Journal technology conference in Napa, California.

Asked whether OpenAI would be ready to go public in 2027, Brockman replied, “I think so.” He said the company was increasing sales to businesses, including through its Codex agent, as it competes with Anthropic.

OpenAI has sought more funding following a delay to its IPO plans, Reuters reported. AI Affairs previously reported that the company sought signatures by 30 October for a round of up to $30 billion and lowered its valuation target to $1.25 trillion from $1.4 trillion. Anthropic is likely to go public before the end of 2026, Reuters reported.
