Snorkel AI announced a $350 million funding round at a $3.5 billion valuation on 22 September, co-led by Insight Partners and S32 with significant participation from existing investor Addition, the company said in a press release.

Insight Partners and S32 lead the round
Insight Partners Managing Director Lonne Jaffe, quoted in the release, said Snorkel’s research-grade approach to AI data is becoming an important ingredient in building capable AI systems. S32 CEO and General Partner Andy Harrison, quoted in the release, said Snorkel’s expert-agentic environments create a unique flywheel between human expertise and AI, supplying data that advances model creation.
Agentic data factory expansion planned
Snorkel plans to use the capital to expand its agentic data factory capacity to address demand, accelerate investment in vertical and enterprise AI, and extend its research into new domains and modalities. The company will also deepen investment in open research, building on programmes such as its Open Benchmarks Grants initiative.
From Stanford AI Lab to frontier data provider
Founded out of the Stanford AI Lab in 2019, Snorkel AI works with leading AI labs and enterprises to build data and environments for frontier and agentic AI. The company launched its expert Data-as-a-Service offering in September 2025 and works with leading AI labs and enterprises on data for frontier model evaluation and training. Its research spans more than 250 peer-reviewed papers cited over 25,000 times.
