CNBC reported that Anthropic plans to present its third-quarter financials to institutional investors at its headquarters on 14 October for the first time, ahead of a possible $2 trillion listing.
People familiar with Anthropic’s plans said its revenue could top $100 billion by the end of 2026. A $2 trillion valuation would put its debut ahead of SpaceX’s, CNBC reported. Anthropic filed confidentially with the Securities and Exchange Commission earlier this year, ahead of the investor meeting previously reported by AI Affairs. The company has not made its S-1 financials public.
OpenAI shared an updated $50 billion revenue number with current investors during a fundraise, below the $70 billion widely reported previously. The updated figure excluded revenue from cloud partners. A person familiar with the matter told CNBC the change did not reflect weaker demand. Broadcom chief executive Hock Tan said on 12 October that rising interest rates could make access to capital the biggest constraint on AI companies. Chip stocks fell on 13 October, extending an overnight sell-off prompted by concerns about the durability of AI financing.
