Pigment announced a $250 million Series E at a $2.3 billion valuation in Paris on 21 October, saying annual recurring revenue had doubled year on year to exceed $100 million. The financing, led by EQT-managed Scaleup Europe Fund, gives the business planning and performance management company capital for engineering and expansion as it develops AI agents for planning work.
Key points
- Scaleup Europe Fund led Pigment’s $250 million Series E at a $2.3 billion valuation.
- Pigment lists Nvidia’s investment as planned, alongside participation from WIL and existing backers.
- Pigment says its agents create 85% of new metrics on the platform.
- The company says it will spend the new capital on research, engineering and growth in new regions.
Scaleup Europe Fund leads the Series E
WIL, or World Innovation Lab, and existing investors Greenoaks, ICONIQ, IVP and Meritech are participating, Pigment said. It described Nvidia’s investment as planned. The Scaleup Europe Fund targets €5 billion and combines public and private capital to invest in European technology companies, according to Pigment’s announcement.
Pigment previously raised $145 million in a Series D in 2024, Trending Topics reported. The publication described the Paris-based company’s software as a tool for corporate financial planning, forecasts and scenarios. Pigment was founded by Eléonore Crespo and Romain Niccoli, a former chief technology officer of Criteo.
Nvidia had announced investments in Pigment, health platform Doctolib, robotics company Genesis AI and materials research start-up Entalpic during a visit by chief executive Jensen Huang to Paris on 13 October, Trending Topics reported. AI Affairs subsequently reported Nvidia’s plans for $2 billion in European AI deals after the chipmaker deployed $8 billion over the prior year. Pigment’s new announcement places its planned Nvidia investment within the Series E investor group.
Pigment puts Graphite at the centre of spending
Pigment said the financing would increase research and development spending and expand its engineering team. That work will focus on Graphite, its patent-pending compute engine, and the AI agents built on it. The company also plans to use the capital to support growth in new regions.
Graphite lets thousands of agents and people work simultaneously on a shared planning model, according to Pigment. The company says the engine can handle hundreds of billions of data points while producing results that users can trace. Its planned engineering work would extend agents beyond building models and analysing data to running planning workflows from start to finish.
Shannee Braun, a managing director at EQT and the Scaleup Europe Fund, said Pigment connects finance, sales and workforce planning on one platform. Pigment’s co-founders, Crespo and Niccoli, said they want agents to carry out planning workflows and turn decisions into actions. Those capabilities are the intended destination for the new engineering investment, rather than a use of the agents that Pigment says is already in place.
Pigment cites $100 million in recurring revenue
Pigment said annual recurring revenue passed $100 million earlier in 2026, doubling year on year. It also said an AI agent now creates 85% of new metrics on its platform. That measure concerns the creation of metrics within the product, while the recurring-revenue figure covers Pigment’s business as a whole.
The company named Danone, DirecTV, Siemens, Snowflake, ServiceNow and Unilever among large enterprises using its platform. It also named Anthropic, ElevenLabs and Uber as customers using Pigment for planning on enterprise data. Pigment said its product spans finance, sales and supply-chain work.
Pigment said L’Oréal had selected its platform to replace a salary-planning tool for more than 95,000 employees globally.
